Club Apnea was formed in 2003 by local divers Neil Haworth and Richard Cornick to create a circle of spearfishermen interested in social spearfishing dives and promoting ethical fishing practices in Jersey.

With the emphasis on safe, fun diving - the Club has been extremely popular, attracting over 100 members from the beginner to the experienced diver.

Being an informal Club - it offers free membership and gives newcomers the opportunity to learn about equipment and techniques from more experienced divers, together with opportunities for diving interesting fishing grounds around the Island, safely, in the accompaniment of more experienced divers.

With the emphasis on taking only what you need and respecting the local fishing regulations the Club offers an alternative to those that do not have the time for full competitive diving.

 

Unfortunately, the club no longer operates but the site is still operational as an historical record.
